What are the Deathly Hallows? If you have ever read any of the Harry Potter books OR watched the movies I don’t need to answer this question. What I probably don’t need to tell you either that July 31st is Harry Potter’s birthday.
For the last couple of years I have tried to make some sort of craft project to celebrate my love for the books and movies for Harry’s birthday. Last year I made Harry Potter Mason Jar Pencil Holders.
This year I decided to make a bright and colorful cross stitch pattern featuring the Deathly Hallows symbols.

Harry Potter Deathly Hallows Cross Stitch
For this project you will need:
- 16 count Aida cloth
- Embroidery threads
- Black 6″ embroidery hoop
- Cross Stitch Needle
- Cross Stitch Pattern or graph paper to create your own
I’m going to be honest with you and admit there really isn’t a “pattern” for this project. I created the pattern myself on 16 count graph paper and free hand backstitched the smaller versions of the Deathly Hallows images. If you can’t recreate the pattern from my images, please contact me and I will be glad to email you a scan of my pattern. This project is really that easy to recreate.
I also randomly picked bright colored threads for each backstitched pattern of the Deathly Hallows. The larger pattern is stitched with two strands of #310 Black. Your choice of colors is completely up to you. I hope you enjoy recreating this pattern.
