We all have been to baby showers for little boys, all done up in blues and greens with cute bears and puppies on the packages and plates. All are so adorable and precious as the mother to be is lavished with gifts in similar fashion. This was not the case with the baby shower I attended this weekend for my niece.

Lauren’s husband is an avid hunter – duck hunting, turkey hunting, deer hunting – you name it. To make the baby shower more like what their little boy’s life with his dad will be like, Lauren requested a unique version of a baby shower with a hunting theme.
I didn’t actually help plan this baby shower since I live out of state, but I was there to help set things up and to enjoy the party with family and friends.
I think the pictures say so much for how creative my sisters and extended family can be.

This baby shower was a hit! No pun intended. This just goes to show that a baby shower for a little boy doesn’t have to always be bears and puppies.
Speaking of bears, we all cried over the teddy bear made from one of my daddy’s old shirts. So sweet.

Donna,
that is the greatest, most original idea I have ever seen for a baby shower! It’s especially great if It’s a co-ed shower because It’s so man friendly! I live in the south and this could become a new trend down here! Thanks for sharing!

Thanks Jeannee. My sisters and extended family are the ones who pulled it off – again. We are all starting to become known for our themed parties. If I lived closer to them we could start a business. LOL
Very cute and original theme!
Thanks Sandra. We had fun that day.
Amazing! SO many creative ideas. I have a sister who used to teach gun safety classes at a range…she would love something like this. #HomeMattersParty
