And Now Peanuts and Snoopy Are 75!

Did you know that 2025 is the 75th Anniversary of the Peanuts® comic strip and the 60th Anniversary of A Charlie Brown Christmas?

If you did know that then you are my person! 

For weeks I have seen advertisements for merchandise, clothing, tumblers, coolers, jewelry, and everything in-between.  We are months away from Christmas, but I imagine the available merchandise will explode even more.

As tempting as it is to buy all the items I swoon over with Snoopy’s adorable image on it, it is much easier on my wallet if I create this post to share some of them with you instead.

Several years ago, I shared a post about Snoopy’s 70th birthday. 

I was five years old when I saved my allowance to buy my first Snoopy stuffed animal.  After 51 years, it is a little worn and dingy these days but it has a place of honor on top of my jewelry box.  Even though I have collected a small sample of other Snoopy stuffies, this original one will always hold a special place in my heart.

 

 

 

Jewelry is such a personal statement.

I don’t remember what company my husband ordered my sterling silver Peanuts® ring from over twenty years ago, but I think I should start wearing it again for the year-long celebration.

The second hand broke on my Snoopy watch, but it is still in my jewelry box, along with the Snoopy Christmas brooch I was given in Girl Scouts when I was maybe ten years old.  

 

 

 

 

This past Christmas my husband surprised me with my first Loungefly backpack commerating the 75th Anniversary of Peanuts®.  I get the most comments on this backpack from young kids to older adults about how much they like it. 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

Coffee mugs.  I have no idea how many Peanuts® and Snoopy® coffee mugs I have in my kitchen cabinet. 

I can tell you that I only purchased two at a thrift store.  So many of them have been gifts from family and friends. A vintage one is used as a pen holder on my desk, and another is my toothbrush holder. At least I am using them.

What I don’t have is a tumbler or travel mug. Strange. 

 

 

 

 

I have always appreciated this quote by Charles Schulz:

“Decorate your home. It gives the illusion that your life is more interesting than it really is.”

 

 

This is just a small sampling of the Peanuts® and Snoopy® items I have found online in one afternoon.  I am looking forward to what will be revealed for the holiday season.
