For this post, I browsed through so many great ideas for a creative DIY gift on Etsy, and so throughout this post,  I will share some of these great finds with you. 

I grew up in a home where my mom was the most creative force. She sewed, baked, decorated elaborate wedding cakes, crocheted, and often painted ceramics—just to name a few of her creative hobbies. Not to be overlooked, my dad was an enthusiastic woodworker and furniture maker in his spare time.  

My sisters and I also dabbled in creative pastimes. Cross stitching has remained my favorite creative relaxer for the longest, but there aren’t many other types of DIY projects I haven’t attempted or wanted to try.

When I became interested in home design, I enrolled in a college program to learn all I could about floor plans, space planning, furniture placement, and aesthetics. Eventually, in my 30s, I started a new career that pivoted to online blogging years ago about DIY projects. 

I am a DIYer.
