For the most part, I don’t have a problem growing natural plants in my home, except for succulents. I have to admit I kill every one I bring home. Don’t know why they are such a challenge for me. I do however, have a few areas in my home that I think plants will add a nice visual and texture element to the room but they are just too dark overall to even attempt a live plant. It would seem that I should have thought of purchasing a faux indoor plant long before now.

Recently, I was contacted by Silk Plants Direct with an opportunity to try out one of their faux indoor plants. Not only was I thankful for the opportunity, but I was excited to select a faux indoor plant for my living room, which has a dark wood ceiling so having a live house plant is out of the question.
Silk Plant Direct is a leading manufacturer of artificial trees, plants, flowers, flower arrangements, topiaries and palm trees for indoor and outdoor use. Their selection of silk flowers and faux plants are amazing. I spent several days just browsing the website and changing my mind several times on what to pick. I finally settled on a gorgeous aloe plant in a rustic vase. Remember my tendency to kill all succulents? This one I am sure will be safe around me.

Overall, I am really happy with how real the aloe plants looks and feels. It is around 15″ tall and the rustic pot feels more like concrete than plastic. The quality of the craftsmanship of the plant is very impressive. I am so excited to try it out in several different rooms of my home.
I have moved it to several different locations in the house and it just looks good no matter where I put it so I am having a hard time deciding where it will finally stay. But the beauty of it is that since it is very real looking I can’t go wrong wherever I put it.
I have never considered myself a faux indoor plant kind of person, but I have been so impressed with the quality of this product that I would have definitely purchased this plant if I had found it in a store. You may see more show up in my home over time.

Looks great! Succulents are the only real plants we can have indoors since my daughter’s allergies are so severe! Thanks for sharing on #HomeMattersParty
I would not be able to tell that’s a faux plant. It looks totally real! Love it! #HomeMattersParty
