I have said this before and I will say it again – I love making wreaths. I think because you can do just about anything with them. There are no rules to follow, you just make what you want. Today I am excited to share my simple DIY Dollar Store Fall Wreath.

With all of the wreaths I have made, I can honestly say that I have never tried to make one out of a pool noodle before now. This project was actually inspired by a quick trip to The Dollar Tree for something else and once I was there among the new fall foliage I just needed to buy some supplies for a new wreath. Sometimes these craft projects just find you first. There is just something so satisfying about finishing a wreath because not only do you get to pick the creative vibe of the wreath, they usually only take an hour or so to finish.
DIY Dollar Store Fall Wreath
For this project you will need:
- Pool Noodle
- Assorted Fall Floral Stems and decorations
- Fall themed wired ribbon of your choice
- Hot Glue Gun
- Hot Glue Sticks
- Floral Wire Cutters
- Straight Pins
- Packing tape
I found all of my supplies for this wreath at my local Dollar Tree store but you can use whatever types of fall decor that catch your eye or order them online.
The first thing I had to learn was that you don’t just bend a pool noodle in to a perfect circle and tape it up. You actually have to bend and curl the noodle several times to get it to stay more in the circle shape. This may take several attempts, but don’t worry, you are not going to break the pool noodle. Once it is more pliable, you can secure the ends of the pool noodle together with packing or duct tape.
I decided to use the chevron patterned ribbon I purchased to wrap around most of the pool noodle. It was easy to secure the ribbon to the pool noodle using the straight pins instead of hot glue.
After that, I just randomly attached the fall leaves and wheat stems with the hot glue to the wreath and attached the fall banner I also found at The Dollar Tree store to the wreath. The whole project was just that simple and fun.
