Sparkling Flags
If you struggle to wrap gifts with traditional wrapping paper, this DIY option is for you.
Supplies:
- Gift box
- Glitter cardstock in 2-3 colors
- String or twine
- Hole puncher
- Scissors
How to DIY:
- Place your gift in the gift box and secure it with the lid.
- Cut out mini flags from your glitter cardstock. The width of each flag should be about 1 inch, and you can vary the lengths to add some dimension.
- Punch a hole at the top of each flag.
- String the flags onto your string or twine.
- Wrap the string of flags around your gift box so that the flags lay on top, tying the remaining string to the back of the box.
The finished product should look something like this!

Floral Gift Wrap
Weddings and flowers go hand in hand, and this DIY gift wrapping idea is a lovely way to elevate plain craft paper for a beautiful and memorable gift presentation.
Supplies:
- Plain kraft paper
- Flowers: they can be fresh, dried, or artificial. You could even use foliage if your friends have a green thumb!
- Thin black marker or Sharpie
- Clear tape
How to DIY:
- Wrap your wedding gift in plain kraft paper.
- With the black marker or Sharpie, draw a vase, jar or other vessel on the front of the gift. You can copy the shape of a vase, or google a photo you like to trace. Don’t worry about your drawing being perfect—the hand-drawn image gives a lovely rustic, sketched look!
- Cut your flowers to the size of the box, holding them on top of the drawn vase (as if they were sitting in the vase) to get the right length. Trim as needed.
- Tape the flowers to the present with clear tape so it looks like the flowers are sitting in their vase.
The finished product will look something like this!

- Wrap your gift so the wedding date is visible at the top.
- Add a ribbon to the gift box.
