Dried Orange Slice Wreath
I pin a lot of creative things on Pinterest every day. Sometimes, I am inspired to actually try them out. This dried orange slice wreath is one of those pins.

It’s time for the November Pin Challenge! The purpose of the Pinterest Challenge is to motivate us to pin and make it happen! This month’s challenge is all about Christmas!
Inspiration for this project was this pin.
Since my husband got a Presto food dehydrator last Christmas, I have been waiting to make a project with dried orange slices for Christmas.
Whether used on garland or wreaths or just in a bowl, dried orange slices are beautiful in decorations and smell so good.
Easy steps to make a dried orange slice wreath.
To start my project, I cut up five small clementine oranges that everyone in the family hadn’t already devoured. These little clementine oranges are a sweet treat around our house and don’t usually last very long.
I placed the slices in a single layer on parchment paper inside the dehydrator and turned it on. It was just that easy!
Since they were small slices, drying them out didn’t take long. After about four hours, I checked on the progress, and they were already done.
You can purchase a similar machine or even just dried orange slices online.
The base for my wreath is a 12-inch grapevine wreath and wired garland ties from Dollar Tree.
After attaching a festive Merry Christmas bow, I used hot glue to attach the pine cones and orange slices to one side of the wreath.
To give it a Christmas flair, I added twigs of wired garland ties purchased from the Dollar Tree and pine cones from my own backyard that I have already cleaned and baked to preserve them.
