Welcome to the weekly Home Matters Linky Party #433
A great place to come, share your blog posts, and make new friends.
We are so glad you are here with us each week.
What is everyone working on this summer?
Are you considering slowing down on blog projects and home improvement projects just to relax and enjoy the longer days of warmer weather?
I am trying to find a balance between taking it slower this summer and planning to get some landscaping done now that the new decks have been built. I am not very good at landscaping and often let it overwhelm me a bit. But if you took a good look at the challenges of my land with all the tall trees, some that desperately need to be cut down, then you would understand some of my frustration. However, I still dream of a beautiful yard with plush grass and flowerbeds full of colorful blooms. So challenge accepted! Now I need to educate myself more on options and ideas and just get started.
Let me know what you are working on this summer in the comments.
Now on to this week’s party! Can’t wait to see you there.

Home Matters Linky Party Guidelines:
- Please take some time to poke around and visit some of the other links.
- Please take some time to check out your hosts and co-hosts on social media.
- We appreciate the variety of blogs on the www; however, the Home Matters Party is for links on matters of the HOME. Please link accordingly.
- We ask that you do not add other Linky Parties, Blog Hops, or Giveaways–unless you begin the party with a new project, recipe or post.
- On the same note, please do not add links of an extremist, political or strong controversial nature. (The hosts and co-hosts read each and every blog post linked and will contact you directly if you have linked something that does not fit into the realm of the party.)
With your help, we can continue to grow the Home Matters Party! Thank you!

Galatians 6:9 Let us not get tired of doing good, for we will reap at the proper time if we don’t give up.
Thanks for the party Donna. I totally understand about the landscaping. We are three years deep into the front yard remodel and I’m still not done. Lol. Some decisions paralyze me but I just need to get it done. Have a great weekend. XO- MaryJo
Thanks for hosting Donna! I’d love to have you come share on Crafty Creators (open until Monday night)! Feel free to share your link party. Have a great weekend!
Thank you so much for including my inflatable pool ring summer wreath project in your feature this week, Miss Donna! I am honored to be included and hope that my idea spurs your readers to give it a try. I am thankful to have found this wonderful link party with SO many great ideas to check out!!!
Thank you so much for your kindness and this excellent link-up opportunity. my entries for this week: are #68-69
I totally understand your frustration about landscaping! We did our little backyard and even though it’s small, it was a ton of work! My advice is to plan it out in stages and take it slow – your back will thank you!
If you’d like some ideas, you can see what we did here: https://birdzofafeather.ca/diy/small-backyard-landscape-ideas/
We did as many low maintenance projects as possible for the long term so we could relax and enjoy our work vs. having to maintain it. Like you said, it is a delicate balance! Summer is always a good time for us to slow down; afterall, it doesn’t last that long here in Canada!
Thanks for hosting 🙂 I can’t wait to see how your garden evolves Donna!
Thanks Sara
Donna,
I love doing landscaping projects and frequently help neighbors out and take care of a flower bed done by our Court’s mailboxes which I plan to be doing today…Good Luck and do some research on what will work in your area and in Sun and shade…
Thanks again for hosting this charming party every week! I know how much time goes into doing so and I want you to know that it I truly appreciate it!! I hope you have a great week!

Deb
