Home Matters Linky Party #477
Welcome to the weekly Home Matters Linky Party #477
A great place to come, share your blog posts and make new friends.
We are so glad you are here with us each week.
My husband and I are still working on our dated 1970s bathroom project for the One Room Challenge. We are at the half way mark as of this week. One thing I wanted for this project that wasn’t done in the beginning was to remove the ugly popcorn ceiling, so I convinced my husband to jump in on this idea with me. He reluctantly agreed because he could see the reasons behind getting it done now while the room was already in disarray. Bless that man!
In the last week it has gone from somewhat clean to a messy layer of ceiling dust on every surface that no amount of cleaning can fully get rid of for days. Anyone else relate to the dust fatigue of redoing ceilings?
Deciding to tackle the popcorn ceiling removal has set us back on the other projects that we planned for the room. Currently, the bathroom is wrapped from the top of the walls to the ceiling in plastic so he can add a new skim coat layer to the exposed sheetrock of the ceiling. I am hoping that by next weekend I can start the makeover of the bath vanity. We shall see.
As if that room wasn’t enough to take up all of our spare time, I started a few landscaping projects while waiting for my turn to work on the bathroom again. Sometimes I wonder why I can’t just work on one thing at a time. I guess I truly have a DIYers heart no matter what.
I am so glad you are joining in this week and I look forward to browsing all the links over the weekend.
Now on to this week’s party! I can’t wait to see you there.

When one start with a remodeling or house project, it inevitably takes way longer, as you find other stuff that also requires attention while working on one project. Best of luck.
