Home Matters Linky Party #540
Welcome to the weekly Home Matters Linky Party #540
A great place to come, share your blog posts, and make new friends.
We are so glad you are here with us each week.
Last week I shared my first Christmas ornament project for the year. I am going to warn you now, it won’t be my last. A few months ago, I signed up for the annual Fantasy of Trees fundraiser for East Tennessee Children’s Hospital. There were only 20 spots available on the list to participate as a designer for one of the free-standing trees to be auctioned off at the yearly gala. And I got one of them! I may have also signed up to provide a door decoration at the same time and got one of those as well.
It is the 40th year for the fundraiser, which is the most significant event they host each year. My husband worked for ETCH for 11 years in the NICU before becoming a Physician Assistant in Neurosurgery. Currently, his sister works as a nurse in the NICU, while his practice continues to support the hospital. I haven’t assisted with the fundraiser since I was in Interior Design school, but a close friend of mine encouraged me to join the waiting list last year. This hospital and the work they do for children are close to our hearts.
I think I have finally picked a theme for my tree design and will be making some of the ornaments between now and Thanksgiving. You can expect to see these projects featured on the blog over the next few months.
I look forward to seeing what you share this week. Thanks for visiting the blog.

Now on to this week’s party! I can’t wait to see you there.

The New Role Of The Blog Link Party

Happy Friday! Thanks so much for hosting each week. I am enjoying looking at all the Summer recipes, I am so tired of everything so it is great to get some new ideas!
Please don’t go too “Christmasy” or “Fall” …. not all of us want to rush through Summer! Personally, 1 week of Fall and dead leaves ~ 1 week of Christmas music is more than enough for me until I start counting days until Spring again. Maybe I’ll start post Summer stuff in January then?
Thank you for featuring my Cricut on the rooftop!
