Home Matters Linky Party #544
Welcome to the weekly Home Matters Linky Party #544
A great place to come, share your blog posts, and make new friends.
We are so glad you are here with us each week.
For the last couple of weeks, I have been trying to learn how to make stickers with Canva, Cricut Design Space, and my Cricut machine.ย What I have learned is that the more I think I know how to do something on both platforms, the more I need to learn.ย Factor in new AI systems, and it gets more challenging and time-consuming. Time is something I don’t have much to spare these days. So, as much as I would thoroughly enjoy spending an entire day watching videos, learning more, and playing around with fonts and images, I find I have to keep relearning steps and techniques again when I finally have time to come back to it.ย I’m not sure if the solution is just better time management or to take some things off my wish list? And that is where my real challenge starts. I want to get ALL THE THINGS DONE! Today! This week!
I am not venting; I’m laughing at myself for thinking I can do it all – all at the same time – again. And so thankful that my lack of time management is the biggest problem I have to deal with these days.
If you feel the same way, feel free to share your tips and tricks for how you get things off your list, deal with the overwhelm, and especially if it is about sticker making.ย I am enjoying the craft, but a good source of videos and tips is always appreciated.
I look forward to seeing what you share this week. Thanks for visiting the blog.ย ย

The New Role Of The Blog Link Party

Hi Donna! I have never tried to make stickers, so sorry I can’t be of help to you! Good luck figuring it out! Thanks for hosting and featuring our living room makeover post! We appreciate it so much! Have a lovely week!
Hey there Donna!! Unfortunately, I have no cricut sticker making tips as I’m in the same boat- LOL. It’s been on the ‘list’ since I got a cricut for Christmas 2 years ago and went down the youtube rabbit hole of what can I even do with this?? ๐ Every time I go to do something on it I have to relearn all over again!! And I understand totally the “must do all the things now frame of mind”!! As for time management/productivity, I do a brain dump on Sundays and then each day try and pick my 3-5 priorities to focus on whatever my energy/creativity is inviting me to at the moment (other than concrete deadlines & appointments I found myself being waaay too rebellious when I tried to lay out a whole week’s worth of priorities at a time…lol). Ohhh and I just found this awesome thing online called Milanote for organizing creative projects onto visual boards… so if you’re a visual person like me, maybe it could be helpful? Thank you for the feature this week and I can’t wait to see what you come up with on the cricut! โฅ
Thanks for sharing and the encouragement Heather. I will definitely check out the Milanote app. I usually do my brain dump on Mondays but still find that I try to overload my days. It is hard to stick to just 3-5 priorities but I am trying. And learning to celebrate each small step towards a big goal. Good luck to you on the Cricut and I look forward to reading more posts from you.
Thank you so much for sharing my math mason jar!!! And thanks so much for hosting us all every Thursday!
