Home Matters Linky Party #598
Welcome to the weekly Home Matters Linky Party #598
A great place to come, share your blog posts, and make new friends.
We are so glad you are here with us each week.
In a few weeks, this linky party will hit a milestone: the 600th weekly party! I have been part of it since late 2017, when that number was much lower, and weekly participants ranged from 500 to 600. It took several co-hosts to visit all of the posts and to keep the party going. However, as expected, blogging has quickly evolved since then. There are fewer active link parties and more video content creators.
So, I would love to hear your honest opinion. Why do you still share your posts on link parties these days? And do you think the concept of a weekly link party is fading away? Is it coming to an end, or will it experience a revival of sorts? And just as important to consider – how does it need to change to stay relevant in the future? Thanks in advance to anyone who wants to share their opinion.
Our cohost, Joy, has stepped away from the weekly link party until further notice while she mourns the death of her father. Please keep Joy and her family in your prayers during this time. We’ll miss her, but family always comes first.
Thanks for joining the party this week, and I look forward to visiting your posts.

Home Matters Linky Party Guidelines:
- Please take some time to poke around and visit some of the other links.
- Please take some time to check out your hosts and co-hosts on social media.
- We appreciate the variety of blogs on the www; however, the Home Matters Party is for links on matters of the HOME. Please link accordingly.
- We ask that you do not add other Linky Parties, Blog Hops, or Giveaways–unless you begin the party with a new project, recipe or post.
- On the same note, please do not add links of an extremist, political or strong controversial nature. (The hosts and co-hosts read each and every blog post linked and will contact you directly if you have linked something that does not fit into the realm of the party.)
With your help, we can continue to grow the Home Matters Party! Thank you!
We are looking for Co-Hosts. Help us build this party!
If you are interested, please contact Donna at radforddesignstudio@gmail.com.
Link Up!
By joining the Home Matters Linky Party you are giving permission for all hosts and co-hosts to use and share any part of your post, including pictures, for party promotion, as featured posts, in party photo collages, on blogs, across social media, etc. All credits will be given to the original source.
Thank you for joining in the fun and excitement at the Home Matters Linky Party. We hope you enjoy it as much as we do. We look forward to chatting with you in the comments.

The New Role Of The Blog Link Party

I have been blogging many years–almost 20! I hope to continue as long as I can as I contnue to enjoy it and also contributing to Linky parties as I feel they help me find new blogs and also keep in touch with many new posts for blogs I have been following many years.
My deepest condoilences to Joy on the loss of her father!
Thanks so much for the party and for all the inspiration you and your cohosts share here, Donna! We’ve only been blogging for 3+ years but we love this community and connecting with other bloggers is one of the things we love best! Wishing you a great weekend!
Hi Donna, honestly I hope that link parties continue. It is the one way bloggers can support other bloggers. Networking through a link party is not terribly time consuming, but I know for myself, that the additional page views are coming from link parties. If it can work for a small/narrow content blog it can work for anyone. Thank you for asking this question, I think the more we know the better we can support each other.
Donna,
Honestly, I miss what blogging used to look like when I first started almost 17 years ago…No Ads, No professional blogs..It was more like having a bunch of Pen Pal friends. You met other blogger’s through Link Parties and developed friendships with those bloggers..I still like link parties because I do get to meet other bloggers who have similar interests to me..Even Link Parties used to be more friendlier…i do love You Tube and watch and follow a lot of people on You Tube but unless they also have a FB group, you can not share your home with them unless you have your own channel…
My Link Ups for today’s party are # 20, 21 and 22!!
Thanks so much for hosting this charming party!!! I truly do appreciate it as I do know the time involved with it and am happy that you have kept it going….I hope you and your family are well and enjoying your week!
Hugs,

Well I personally love link parties or I wouldn’t be here linking up week after week. It makes me sad to see them go away. I don’t like videos at all, they are too time consuming. I like link parties because I can see in one place what I am interested in. I only wish there weren’t so many recipes all the time as I’m forever on a diet and I can’t eat the stuff anyway so I have no interest in recipes. I wish I had an idea of ways to make link parties better, but I don’t. Sorry.
