Welcome to An Early Spring Weekend where it is still a bit chilly in Eastern TN.ย

This is the second edition of our weekend post sharing interesting tidbits and sites we found this week.

ย

ย

Let’s start with our featured image.

Last year, my husband and I purchased our first RV.ย

It is only a few years old, and the interior is in good condition.ย  However, it does lack some personality.ย  It needs our preferred style of interior design personality.ย

I may be a trained Interior Designer, but I can tell you I know very little about changing the interior of an RVโ€”except the importance of not adding extra weight to the traveling home.

Even after a few trips, it didn’t take long to learn that extra weight while towing a 31-foot RV can cause things like blown tires and bent hitches.ย  Or that things shift and fall over inside the RV while being pulled up a mountainside.

More on that in later posts.

Instead of ignoring what I don’t know and making changes anyway, I have decided it is best to learn as we grow into this new vagabond way of traveling and to follow a few more experienced RVers on social media.ย  Recently I discovered two RV renovators and styling accounts on Instagram to follow.ย

The first is See How We RV, and the other is Inspired RV Living.ย

I am confident that I will learn more than just how to decorate an RV from both of these influencers.ย

America's thrift store Knoxville

ย

Two weeks ago, Knoxville got its first America’s Thrift Store, which supports the Make A Wish foundation. I enjoy thrifting, and after a dentist appointment this week, I decided to give it a try. For our area lately, the prices were really good for a thrift store!

Speaking of thrifting,ย the latest print edition of Country Living Magazine and itsย online siteย announced anย upcoming online prop sale. They didn’t release an exact date yet, but I will certainly be watching for it. After years of enjoying their display of vintage accessories, I can’t wait to see what they are purging from their inventory.ย

ย

This weekend, I shared a post about my first attempt at repurposing aย pre-used planner into a junk journal. This is a popular trend in crafting lately, and evenย Martha Stewart magazine has recently joined in and sharedย it. Premade versions are also a popular item for saleย on Etsy.ย

Last, I watched the first two episodes of Home Is Where The Heart Is, a home improvement show on Hallmark+ featuring Luke MacFarlane.ย

It was pleasantly surprising to see a different side of an actor we have all seen countless times in their popular movies. The addition of his friend and Interior Designer, Olivia Westbrooks, makes for a charming duo. I am looking forward to viewing more episodes.ย ย

I am fully aware that not everyone has the extended Hallmark+ streaming service, but you will have something to look forward to when it is hopefully released on the regular Hallmark network sometime in the future.ย

Have a great weekend,
