Good morning from a beautiful Spring day in Eastern Tennessee!
Yesterday, we met with our contractor to plan our house’s exterior repairs and renovations. I am excited to announce that we have selected an entirely new color scheme for the exterior. And I’m also a bit nervous. This pale gray house has greeted me every day for almost seventeen years now, and the new color is going to be the beginning of a new era for our Mid-Century Modern-inspired home.
I will give you a hint – it will be in the green family of colors.
That’s all you get for now because I will be posting updates along the way. These changes will start happening in late April.
Next week, our new HVAC systems will be installed.
Amazon’s Big Spring Sale is still going on!
If you haven’t visited Amazon this week, they are currently having a Big Spring Sale on home, garden, pets, outdoor activities, fashion items, and so much more.
I have both these Spring Outdoor Pillows and these Fourth of July Outdoor Pillows in my cart today.
Hurry because the sale ends at midnight on Monday the 31st!
Peanutsยฎ and Snoopyยฎ products are still rising in popularity this year as more and more products are featuring their images as part of the 75th Anniversary of the comic strip.
This week, I came across this website dedicated to Snoopy collections and features an online shop of vintage items.
This week, several garage sales have been posted in neighborhoods close to our home.
Spring and Summer are also the biggest seasons for Estate Sales.
To find Estate sales in our area, visit estatesales.net and enter your zip code to get a listing of current and future sales. You can also sign up for the email list to receive notifications right in your inbox.
Hope you have a wonderful weekend!

Monticello Mentions – Weekend of March 22nd

Two summers ago we had the exterior of our home painted. We went from a cool gray to a warm greenish gray and we love it! Can’t wait to see what you come up with!
Well Laura, we have also decided to go with a warm green called Deep Moss. We also decided to go with Vinyl instead of paint. It is going to be more expensive but worth it in 15+ years when we know we will need a new roof. Home improvements are a balancing act of what needs to be done and what you can afford at one time. Thanks for commenting.
