One Saturday morning on my way to the grocery store I decided to follow a few signs for some local garage sales. In the Spring and Summer months, our neighborhood entrances have lots of bright and colorful signs advertising local garages sales. All you have to do is follow the signs – and the train of cars as well. This is how I found a great vintage table for only $8.00 just begging for a makeover.

I finished this project some time ago but it is still one of my favorite furniture makeovers.
Even though the table had a few scratches and flaws, it was in really good condition overall and a steal at only $8.00.
A little sanding and paint make this table look completely different.
- 120 and 240 Grit Sandpaper
- White Primer Paint
- Valspar Belle Grove Antique White Paint #530812 in Satin
- Minwax Jacobean #2750 Stain
- MinWax PolyAcrylic Finish in Gloss

What a great transformation! I think my mom has this same table… I might need to freshen hers up when I visit! Thanks for sharing at #HomeMattersParty
This is a great transformation! I love the table”s white legs with the dark tabletop. #HomeMattersParty
I am amazed at how different it looks! I don’t think they would have put it in the yard sale if they had your talent!
That is so sweet. Thanks Kristen.
This table looks fantastic and brand new Donna. I do love garage sale season. It’s fun partying with you at #HomeMattersParty
Looks lovely! I love that painted on bottom and wood on top look 🙂
Gorgeous transformation! And an added bonus that it was $8!! I don’t blame you for keeping it! It’s beautiful! 🙂
