For the past month I have been sharing each week a patriotic themed craft or home decor project in celebration of the summer holidays. I have made a Patriotic Themed Tray out of a cabinet door, Patriotic Bucket Planters, a Patriotic Clothespin Wreath, Patriotic Mini Houses, and Patriotic Coasters. My last project is a set of Patriotic Blocks that are currently featured in the July 2018 edition of Ruby for Women Magazine.

Patriotic Wood Blocks
You can find the full article and tutorial on the Ruby for Women website but I have included just a few images below.
The blocks were very easy to make by purchasing a wood whittler’s kit with three pre-cut wood blocks from Michael’s Craft Store. Then I planned out the sayings and printed a template for each word on my computer. Second, I traced the words on the blocks, and hand painted each block in the trio of colors in navy, red, and white. I used black and silver as accent colors.
Print versions of the Ruby for Women magazine can be purchased on Amazon.
