During the summer months, we pull out our beloved red, white, and blue Patriotic decor for our homes to celebrate all the Patriotic holidays from Memorial Day, to the 4th of July and ending with Labor Day.
The easy way to decorate for our beloved Patriotic holiday is by displaying the American flag of course. Especially on display in rustic mason jars is an iconic image for all of us.
The American flag may be the most displayed Patriotic décor for your home we often see during this time of the year, but there are so many beautiful decorations out there to choose from that are so much fun.
Today, I am sharing some of my recent favorite Patriotic décorations for your home that I found online.
I am also sharing a few of my favorite Patriotic décor DIYs as well.

In my home, I usually make sure to put up my Patriotic décor for my home before Memorial Day. Mostly because I am a military spouse and proud of my husband, and his service to our country.
But also because I just adore the combined colors of red, white, and blue that represent our nation.
Patriotic Décor is just special to me.
Over the years I have collected items for my home and even once decorated an entire Christmas tree in Patriotic colors and ornaments. Unfortunately, I wasn’t blogging at that time and don’t have any photos to share.
I have also created a few quick DIY projects since I started blogging that have a Patriotic red, white, and blue theme. Projects that included wreaths, pom pom garland for my mantel, and even a table runner.
This Patriotic Flower Painting I created a few years ago was one that was just so fun and easy to do. It is still displayed on my mantel each year. It is one of my favorites.

Patriotic Signs made from 2x4s.
DIY Fourth of July Decorations add your own special touch to the summer holiday look.
I once took a couple of scrap wood 2x4s and created simple signs using paint and my Cricut Joy©. Not only was the post very popular but I recently put them in my vendor booth (I have to purge items too) and they sold the first day I put them in the booth. Makes me smile that someone else is now enjoying them.
Even though I have made so many Patriotic DIY projects over the years, I still enjoy browsing my favorite decor stores and online stores to get inspired by the creativity of others.
Some awesome Patriotic Decor from Etsy!
One of my Patriot DIY projects that I just can’t part with is this flag tray I made from an old cabinet door from our church remodel. It is still one of my favorites.
However, my all-time favorites are my wreath projects!
In my opinion, the best place to shop for new items to make your own DIY Patriotic decor is your local dollar store. Both of the wreaths I am sharing today were made from items found at Dollar Tree.
Each year I look forward to browsing the aisles of the Fourth of July decorations but have to tell myself that I shouldn’t go overboard on buying all the supplies for another DIY project I have little time to complete.
It is so hard though to pass by the blue decor with the red accents that make your want to throw a Fourth of July party.
All the supplies for this fireworks and stars wreath were from Dollar Tree.
This Patriotic clothespin wreath was a lot of fun to make.
This next wreath was made from part of my husband’s uniform. I will never get rid of it nor will it ever hang outside.
The memories it carries of the years he served and of those he served with or have lost are just too precious.
My favorite places to shop for home decor, especially Patriotic decor for your home are Dollar Tree, Amazon, and Etsy. the best time to shop is in may before they are all gone!
The thing about Patriotic decor is that the colors are already chosen for you, so it can be fun to just focus on where to put items in your home.
Any area of your home is a prime spot for some little Patriotic flare.
Bookshelves, coffee tables, dining tables, porches, and even bathrooms can proudly display the red, white, and blue colors.
What party guests wouldn’t be wowed by a simple Patriotic centerpiece of blue mason jars filled with white flowers? White dinner plates on the dining table with red and blue napkins and napkin rings with simple white stars make for a beautiful tablescape for a Fourth of July party.
Or be creative with your next Fourth of July celebration and decorate more than just your front door. Fill the pots on your porch with vibrant blue hydrangeas, white flowers, and red carnations for a natural Independence Day color combination.
And don’t forget about the look and style of those decorations.
I would usually suggest picking decorations that best match the style of your home. However, a little whimsical gnome in the guest bath or a small mason jar with tiny American flags on a foyer entry table helps to extend the decorations to every little corner of your home.
With just a little creativity, you can fill your home with fun ways to visually celebrate all of the Patriotic holidays this summer.
I refer to these as the colors of the Summer for my home and always look forward to seeing all of the best red decorations for my next Patriotic party, or just taking the creative way and making new decorations each year.
But I know there are some of your out there that the combined colors of red, white, and blue are just not the look you want for your home.
You may want to decorate for the summer holiday season but find that your only options to purchase items seem to be more of a color explosion than you prefer.
I say that is not a problem at all. There is nothing wrong with a simple statement either.
An all-white and elegant 4th of July tablescape is a very beautiful tablescape that can be used all summer. Shop for simple white vases filled with fresh white flowers, accented with white star shapes in the napkins, and on the napkin rings. Your July table decorations will still evoke a Patriotic feeling for your guests without the bright colors.
Strings lights in a mason jar tied with a blue ribbon can add just a warm glow to a simple blue color scheme to a coffee table or side table.

All this to say, if you love to tackle DIY 4th of July decorations, or shop the latest Patriotic finds online, either way, you can’t go wrong in the Summer months by embracing your own style of Patriotic decor in your home.
