Do you have a gift closet? Not sure what that is?
It is space in a closet in your house that you shop for those last minute gift needs without stress or rushing to a store. It is a time saver, money saver, and sanity saver all wrapped up in one!
I have a closet where I store my gift stash. There have been times when having a gift stash has saved me a last minute, and often expensive trip to the store for a gift. There have also been times where I neglected to maintain my gift stash and it has cost me more than I could afford and a lot of frustration.

A gift stash shouldn’t be a hodge podge of random things you wouldn’t use yourself, but a well thought out, carefully shopped, available stash of items you can gift to friends, coworkers, and family for last minute dinner invites, birthdays, house warming gifts, and just because someone may need a pick me up after an illness.
A gift stash is actually about thinking of others first and being prepared for that unexpected need for a gift.
The best way to stock up a gift stash is to shop all year but especially during the cyber deals you can find online during the holidays.
You can even find some great deals all year on small items for a gift closet while you are traveling. At least I do because we try to always visit small businesses when we travel. These stores usually have some unique items that make great gifts.
I have included links to some of my favorite ideas in the list below.

I could probably add more and more items, but the thing to keep in mind is to be proactive, creative, and resourceful all year to keep your gift closet full of fun gifts for family and friends.
And don’t forget to stock up on gift bags, gift wrap, tape, tags, and ribbons. Those are the items that get me every time and I still have to go to the store.
A gift closet is a great idea! It would be good to collect these items throughout the years so that when it comes time to buy gifts for people, I’m already prepared. #HomeMattersParty
Good for you Nicole. I plan to do better in 2018.
I recently come across stuff that was in my gift closet in our old house! I told my girls they needed to shop for their friends from my collection instead of hitting the stores this year. #HomeMattersParty
Very good idea and a great way to teach them to have a gift closet when they are older.
