5 Reasons Why I Love My BISSELL® Pet Hair Eraser® Vacuum

I recently purchased a new BISSELL® Pet Hair Eraser® vacuum cleaner and just had to write a post about it and how impressed I am with its performance.

I have four dogs, two cats, and a rabbit living in or outside my house. Needless to say, the fur can build up quickly. I have been considering the BISSELL® Pet Hair Eraser® ever since I saw the first commercial for it, but I had a perfectly good working vacuum and just couldn’t convince myself to buy another vacuum cleaner, whether it was new and shiny or not.

Twenty years ago, I purchased a fabulous but rather more expensive Kirby brand vacuum cleaner from a door-to-door salesman. At the time, we really needed a new vacuum. Our son was a toddler at the time, and I just couldn’t stand the fact that he was playing on dirty carpet, so I justified the cost. Needless to say, my husband was shocked that I would agree to buy something so expensive.

It certainly has lived up to its name and reputation all these years. It has never failed me, and the addition of the carpet shampooer with the model was great for us as a military family that moved a lot and needed to shampoo carpets in their rental homes. I have never regretted that purchase.

I also didn’t have four dogs during that time.

In the last year, I have noticed that my always-reliable Kirby vacuum couldn’t handle the dust and fur of four dogs, even short-haired dogs. The roller kept clogging, and I was always changing the bags because they filled up so quickly.

I still have my trusted Kirby vacuum and I will be donating it to another family soon because it is a great vacuum and I wouldn’t bash the product at all.  I felt we needed something designed especially for a home with pets.

A couple of months ago, I finally purchased my new  BISSELL® Pet Hair Eraser®, and I have to tell you why I love it just as much.

5 Reasons Why I Love My BISSELL® Pet Hair Eraser® Vacuum

1. The Tangle-Free Brush Roller

First of all, can we rave about the Tangle-Free Brush Roller!  It is fabulous.  I can vacuum my new wool rugs, the rabbit litter mess, and the dog hair on bare floors without ever having to take the machine apart to clean off the roller.  That alone makes this a great vacuum.

2. This vacuum cleaner is so easy to use.

Second, this vacuum is so easy to use. You can switch from the roller brush to the suction hose with just a turn of the knob. There are no extra parts in a bag you have to search for just to finish cleaning around areas like the baseboards or corners. If you are like me, those didn’t always get done because it was just too much of a hassle to stop, change out the parts on the vacuum, and then change them back to continue in a different room.

It is also just as easy to switch from carpet to bare floors with a turn of another knob on the vacuum’s base.

3.  Awesome Specialized Tools stored directly on the machine.

This vacuum comes with the Pet TurboEraser tool, which I use to clean up dog hair on the stairs and any piece of furniture. And just like the Tangle-Free brush roller, it doesn’t get clogged with dog hair.

The Quick-Release wand can be adjusted to two lengths with two angled brushes, making it easy to clean hard-to-clean areas like lampshades or louvered doors.

With the Quick-Release wand, I can easily clean the many louvered closet doors in my house—and I have a lot of them. Cleaning with a duster just tears up the duster and gets little pieces caught in the dry wood. Now, I can easily keep them dust-free in my home.

This vacuum also includes the LED-Lit crevice tool. This ingenious little attachment is so cool—it lights up! Now, I can easily vacuum the corners and little crevices in the house AND see the dust while I vacuum at the same time. This makes cleaning underneath furniture like dressers and beds and between the sofa cushions so easy.

4. Hands-free cleaning of the canister.

The BISSELL® Pet Hair Eraser® has the Patented Cyclonic Pet-Hair Spooling System™, which allows for hands-free emptying of the canister. I can clean out the canister with just two clicks.

One removes the canister with one hand from the machine and then opens the bottom of the canister to empty it again. It really is that easy. No more bags and no more realizing you don’t have a replacement bag when you need it.

5.  BISSELL® Pet Foundation

And last, I love how BISSELL®  is dedicated to helping homeless pets find a home.  With every BISSELL® Pet Hair Eraser®  purchase, the BISSELL® Company donates to their Pet Foundation to fund pet adoption.  My husband and I take in rescue animals (which explains the four dogs) and donate to our favorite local shelter to help those animals we can’t take in.  We also donate to programs that help bring homeless pets to Veterans.  So, when I can find a great product and company that supports these same goals, I consider it a special bonus.
