This week for the One Room Challenge™, I can finally show the completed construction phase of our sunroom makeover project.

Eventually the construction phase of a project does end and you can focus on getting the room ready to use. During the time frame of this project we often wondered if we would ever get to this phase.
If you have been following along with our project so far, we last shared the Demo Day and rebuilding the Walls of the new sunroom. That part of the project was actually done in late February.
Here is a reminder of how the room looked when this project started earlier this year.
In the last few months, this once slightly dilapidated screen porch room has been torn down and new walls built for an all weather sunroom.
Then the first week of April, after 5 weeks of waiting for the new custom windows to arrive, the work crews showed back up and spent a couple of days installing the windows and doors, the new dog door, and installing the vinyl wall panels for the lower sections of the walls.
A few days later, two painters showed up and painted the new sliding door and side entrance door in the same color as the new clay colored vinyl walls.
Another work crew arrived about two weeks later to install the Mitsubishi Electric Air Conditioner.
Finally, the first week of May, the last few items were completed like installing the electrical plugs and finishing off the vinyl panel installation.
Six months after we decided to get this project done, the construction phase was finished and all of the paperwork signed and done!
Now we can start our DIY plans of the project that we have been patiently, or not so patiently, waiting to get done.
Hugs,
Psalm 9:1 “I will praise thee, O Lord, with my whole heart; I will shew forth all they marvelous works.”
Wow! What a change! Coming together nicely!
I love the progress on your sunroom. Can’t wait to see it finished!
